Dom Reynolds and Jozef Birling are fellow singer-songwriters, musicians, record producers and tutors.
Having played together formerly in a group called Infra Red during the late ‘noughties’, they reconvened in the 2020s by jamming and then preparing a set of covers for live street performance.
Once they discovered that they have similar musical and artistic tastes, and that their original songs fitted well together, they created an album of newly-penned songs in an eclectic but rootsy style. The album is entitled Change the Plan - OUT NOW on CD!

A song about the Earth and a Human in a conversation, but talking quite a bit without really listening to each other, and thus perhaps not really understanding each other that well.
Jozef Birling: “For a while this song remained unfinished, as I struggled to find the right words to express the despair that the human character in this song would feel. It was only after Dom provided the rap lyrics that it started to make full sense to me. It was the first song of our renewed collaboration and we also felt it represented the main themes of our first album very well, hence it became the title track.
“Dom and I both love songs where the music can also speak, harking back to a tradition where longer intros, outros, and guitar or keyboards solos can form an integral part of the composition and prosody of the song. We hope that it will also connect to others in search for such musical directions.”
lyrics
Earth) It really is not a secret * I can see you don't like it * Mess it up as a playwright * You will fall from a great height * Don't tell me that I just don't care * 'Cause, I do, I do, I do, I do * Want the best for you always * (Human) Going through the motions, fixin’ with potions * Are we good? * Do we act like we should? * It's about me, about you, about Jane, about Joe * We say one thing, mean another * We all we need each other! * You say what we need is a miracle, man * But if we all work together we’ll do what we can * There’s a garbage patch floatin’ in the sea * But they ain’t doin’ nothing as far as I can see * Time to change is it not? * It really is not a secret * What's so wrong with this big world? * I can see you don't like it * Doing things to improve our lives * Mess it up as a playwright * All these things that could make you cry* You will fall from a great height * Got to give it a lot * Don't tell me that I just don't care * It’s a problem that we all share * I do I do I do I do * Doing things to improve our lives * I do I do I do I do * Always the winner that survives * Want the best for you always * Greening politics with empty phrases * While the iceberg melts and the forest blazes * There’s a garbage patch floatin’ in the sea * But they ain’t doin’ nothing as far as I can see * Time to change is it not? * It really is not a secret * What’s so wrong with this big world * I can see you don't like it * Doing things to improve our lives * Mess it up as a playwright * All these things that could make you cry * You will fall from a great height * Time to change the plan * Don’t tell me that I just don’t care * Put it in the can * I do, I do, I do, I do * Politicians should end this strife * I do, I do, I do, I do * Always the winner that survives * Want the best for you always * Time to change is it not? * What’s so wrong with this big world? * Time to change the plan * It really is not a secret * (Wise person) Time to change the plan * I can see you don't like it * Change it while we can * Mess it up as a playwright * Time to change our mind * You will fall from a great height * Don't tell me that I just don't care * 'Cause, I do, I do, I do, I do
